Hurricane Season
Here in the Gulf South, Tropical Storm Arlene kicked off hurricane season last weekend. Though this storm never reached hurricane status, her arc across the Gulf and her landfall on the Mississippi/Alabama border were reminiscent of last year\'s monster storm, Ivan.
During this time of year, storms often knock out power, cause flooding and prohibit travel. Some severe storms may even call for an evacuation of the area.
What does this mean for ERS Customers outside the Southeastern U.S? Not much. We want all our customers to rest assured that your data is safe, and that our on-line service will be available 24/7, as usual, regardless of any havoc wreaked on New Orleans during hurricane season. Our servers are totally out of harm\'s way, stored in a secure data center in Texas with redundant power backups. Additionally, your data is automatically backed up every day.
If we are forced to close our offices due to an emergency, your orders will still be processed as usual. Though you won\'t likely be able to reach us the usual numbers for customer service, emergency cell phone numbers will be posted here.
Happy hurricane season!
